Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Oro Rosso (PAM00684)

Along with the stainless steel configuration, the Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Oro Rosso is the first Submersible model released by the watchmaker with a 42 mm case. The red gold color of the case is achieved by increasing the amount of copper in the alloy used, with platinum added to prevent oxidation. The result is an attractive diver’s watch that adheres to the trend of combining tinted gold with black rubber straps as seen on past models by Audemars Piguet and Rolex.

As is standard on Submersible models, the unidirectional rotating bezel of the PAM00684 features a graduated scale to calculate immersion time during dives. This configuration also features a matt black ceramic disc on the bezel, with Super-LumiNova on the markers for clear visibility underwater. Other functions include a date aperture at 3 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. The hour markers and hands also feature blue luminescence that contrast with the black dial.

A P.9010 automatic movement provides functionality for this timepiece with a power reserve of 3 days. It has a mechanism for stopping the balance wheel to synchronize the watch and a jump function for setting the hour hand without affecting the minute or seconds hands. This model is water resistant up to 100 meters and comes on a black rubber strap with a trapezoidal clasp in the same material as the case.
