The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Pirelli – Automatic Skeleton Reference RDDBEX0575 is developed in partnership with Pirelli – supplier of premium tires to the world’s flagship motorsports competitions. The Roger Dubuis team utilized the legendary tread motifs and color codes from a Pirelli Cinturato tire in this design and launched this reference with a limited edition run of only 88 pieces.
The 45 mm case is in black DLC Titanium with an internal Titanium dial in a skeleton design. Certified by the Poinçon de Genève, the timepiece is ensured to have a guarantee of exclusivity, performance and durability – among other exceptional characteristics. Each component of the timepiece is hand crafted and decorated – part of a tradition that was cultivated in Geneva. Guaranteed to perform with precision, this timepiece is also tested to withstand 50 meters of water depth.
Powered by the RD820SQ, the reference RDDBEX0575 utilizes a micro-rotor to ignite a power reserve of 60 hours. It is built with 167 components, 35 jewels, and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph. The hand crafted and hand finished self-winding calibre is the result of over 530 hours of manufacturing and testing.
The above picture shows the Pirelli logo emblazoned on the back side of the timepiece. The skeleton dial and its exceptional craftsmanship and quality are visible from both sides of this timepiece.
To finish off the design, the Roger Dubuis RDDBEX0575 comes with a bracelet with a black rubber base and a Pirelli tire inlay. It is protected by a Titanium black DLC folding clasp which is adjustable.
Rubber B collaborated with Roger Dubuis to design the Official bracelet collection for the DDBEX0575. This Vulcanized Rubber strap is specifically engineered for the 45mm case and deployment clasp with the “quick-release” system. All Rubber B straps are made in Switzerland utilizing pure, natural vulcanized rubber with no coatings or blends.
The engineered blocked integration creates a rotation-free mount. The strap can also integrate perfectly with the original Roger Dubuis deployant buckle. Above we see two straps – one with blue rubber and blue stitching, and one with black rubber and blue stitching.
