Every Panerai watch fan is familiar with their favorite models. No matter if you are a Radiomir, Luminor or Submersible fan, there are plenty of Panerai watch straps to fit your favorite Panerai timepiece.
Many Panerai watches with metal bracelets also come accompanied by an OEM Panerai Rubber Strap. Panerai OEM strap offerings for purchase also include a wide range of leather straps, including calf skin leather straps and alligator or crocodile straps for Panerai. However, Panerai bands such as these are straight cut, attaching to the lug bar, and leaving a a gap along the watch head, giving it a “tool watch” look.
The New Panerai Watch Straps
Rubber B has instead focused on original and innovative approaches to the Panerai watchband. Rather than just offering the same NATO or Calf/Alligator straps which can fall apart after only a few uses at the beach, diving, or during athletic activities, Rubber B focused on creating a watchband that was fully water resistant, sweat repellant and strong enough to withstand the rigorous physical activities that an athlete or weekend warrior could throw at it.
Rubber B pioneered the custom Vulcanized rubber band precisely fitted to the specific Panerai watch case. There are several reasons Rubber B focused on specifically Vulcanized rubber. This rubber not only has a strength to it, but is supple enough to feel good against the skin. It is also extremely durable, hypo-allergenic and can withstand the effects of seawater, chlorinated water, UV sun, sand, and sweat.
Rubber B bands can easily be cleaned with water. It looks new even after extensive wear and use. There are many types of rubber, but only Vulcanized rubber gives the high performance that Panerai watch owners expect and deserve.
Rubber B also pioneered the “Blocked Integration” approach. It’s classic band is engineered specifically for the Panerai case, removing of all space at the watch head, and and creating zero rotation of the strap around the lug bar. The result is a more comfortable, snug and balanced feel on the wearer’s wrist, as the heavy Panerai watch head is held securely in place in a balanced position.
Blocked Integration is a unique design that was only seen with steel bands. It never reached the after market bands or bands made out of leather, rubber or fabrics. Rubber B changed all of that, by customizing the band to fit the exact measurements of the Panerai case. It is tailor fitted to the exact Panerai model. Therefore there is no gap between the lug and the watch face which might show skin underneath.
Men and women alike know the difference of a tailored experience. Just as the finest clothiers need to tailor fit a suit or dress to the wearer, Rubber B takes great care to create a watch band that is sized precisely to fit the watch it is made for. Rubber B also created multiple clasp options, either supporting the original Panerai clasp or offering strong Tang clasp options which ship with the band itself.
Rubber B has always offered multiple color bands for Panerai timepieces. Panerai is one of the best brands to utilize multiple color bands with. Many of the Panerai watches can be easily dressed up with a black band or added a bit of fun with a white, red or yellow band. Rubber B also pioneered the art of creating 2 tone bands which are combined in the original design process. This means that rather than paint a color on top of the band, the color is infused in the vulcanization process. This means the color retains its original luster and does not flake or chip after use – even after diving or swimming activities.
More recently, Rubber B created Panerai watch straps that not only look and feel like real cowhide or alligator leather, or NATO fabrics, but are actually made with Vegan-Friendly 100% vulcanized rubber. No animals are harmed in this process and yet, these bands actually feel like real leather. Even the NATO fabrics like Kevlar are being replicated by Rubber B designers, and yet since it is made with vulcanized rubber it is stronger and far more repellant to water, sweat, and other activities which would typically destroy real leather or fabric after only a few uses.
