Hollywood actor, Orlando Bloom, has lived the majority of his adult life in the spotlight. Best known for his roles in Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, has also admitted to being a big watch collector having amassed a timepiece collection of over 40 luxury wristwatches. With a particular interest in vintage Rolex models with numerous rare references in his possession. His passion for watch collecting shot into the limelight in 2009, when Orlando was a victim of the gang of thieves named \u201cThe Bling Ring\u201d. A group of teenagers spent 10 months in 2008\/09 robbing around fifty houses, including those of stars such as Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Rachel Bilson, Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, and Orlando Bloom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this robbery they stole a large amount of high fashion-label clothing, Bloom’s vintage Rolex watch collection, Louis Vuitton luggage, and artworks; all totaling nearly half a million dollars.

Several of Orlando\u2019s watches were stolen, including seven of his Rolex watches with some \u00fcber rare vintage references. Bloom\u2019s watches were hidden in a secret nook inside a wall, concealed behind a bookcase, and as a result, he started to become uneasy after the burglary. When his prized watches were hidden so well, how could anyone have found them without being close to him? It turned out that the burglars were simply a group of teenagers, he was shocked, along with the rest of the world.

Orlando Bloom Watch – The Rolex GMT-Master <\/strong>1675<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The brand\u2019s famed pilot watch was created for Pan Am in 1959, with the characteristic red and blue \u201cPepsi\u201d bezel. Orlando\u2019s GMT-Master 1675 is particularly significant for its pointed crown guards, which were only outfitted on the very early models of the reference and later replaced with the more traditional shaped crown guards. This original version is one of Rolex\u2019s longest-running models, which was produced until 1980. Newer models of the Pepsi bezel remain a must-have for Rolex fans until today.<\/p>\n\n\n
