And as always, one of the most hotly anticipated lineups of the year is going to be the annual Rolex rollout. But what kind of changes are Rolex going to be making to their most popular models? Are these changes likely to be significant, or are they more cosmetic? What Kind of Changes Is Rolex Going to be Making to Their Watches?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a pretty open-ended question, but also the most important one. For that reason, we\u2019ve decided to answer this question in four parts \u2013 one for each model of watch that is receiving any kind of overhaul of note from Rolex. To begin with, let\u2019s take a closer look at the Submariner model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Should I Know About Rolex<\/strong> 2020 New Lineup of Submariner Watches?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rolex recently made some pretty big headlines by announcing that they were putting out new Submariner watches \u2013 it\u2019s the first time they\u2019ve been updated in over a decade (actually 12 years, if you want to get technical.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case has been slightly redesigned, as it now comes in at 41 mm instead of the previously established 40 mm. Rolex isn\u2019t known for making small case adjustments like that at random, so we\u2019ll have to see how it wears once the watch is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also worth noting that the timepiece has slightly smaller lugs to hold it together now and that the bracelet has been made a bit svelter as well. Also, two new bezel color schemes are available in the form of either blue or green with white gold. Finally, the movement has been updated to a Caliber 3235.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, what about our old friend, the Sky-Dweller? That timepiece is receiving some updates as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Should I Know About Rolex\u2019s New Lineup of Sky-Dweller Watches?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Sky-Dweller has only received one update for its 2020 edition, but it\u2019s kind of an important one. The Sky-Dweller is now available for purchase on an Oysterflex rubber watch strap, which is notable because that makes it the first watch available on that style of strap that is not featured in Rolex\u2019s \u201cProfessional\u201d collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is more than likely an attempt to make the watch appear sportier and less formal to those who might be on the fence about purchasing one, but we won\u2019t know whether Rolex pulled the redesign off until it\u2019s available for purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Should I Know About Rolex\u2019s New Lineup of DateJust Watches?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rolex\u2019s Datejust models received some of the most attention from the company this year, as there are no less than four new models that will be available for purchase. The first new model includes a purple face, Roman numerals, and a diamond-set bezel for those who are looking for something with a little more panache. The second is a standard white dial with a Roman numeral set up. The third is a dark gray in a sunburst style with a fluted bezel, and the final one is a glossy green mint dial with stick hour markers.

What Should I Know About Rolex\u2019s New Lineup of Oyster Perpetuals?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rolex has also spent a lot of time working with the Oyster Perpetual models for their upcoming lineup release as well. For starters, they have added a new 41 mm model to this set of watches. They have also added several new color varieties, with a lacquered finish, for the 36 mm models. These colors include candy pink, turquoise, yellow, and coral red. It is also worth noting that the only watches available in the Pearl style now are the 34 and 39 mm models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Are Some Other Important Things to be Aware of Regarding Rolex 2020 Lineup?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the more frequently asked questions seems to be in regard to availability, and as far as we are able to tell, it is likely to remain the same as it has in previous years. Discontinued watches will still be difficult to get, though in some cases, Rolex was recently fulfilling backlogged orders of those products, so it is not as if they are going to be destroying any inventory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cgray,\u201d or pre-worn watch market, is still alive and well, and expected to see discontinued models, such as \u201cThe Hulk,\u201d be significantly marked up before they eventually come back down and the market corrects itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, it is likely that these watches will be available to purchase in about 6 to 10 weeks. Simply put, there is no way that Rolex is going to be missing out on possible Christmas sales at the end of the year, so keep an eye out for when they are finally available to the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
