What Kind of Changes Are Apple Likely to Make in the Series 6 Smart Watch?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We wish we could see into the future, but we\u2019re not X-Men, so all of this information is based on what the trades are currently reporting as of this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most likely new features that we are going to see implemented, as it has been requested for a long time now, is a bigger battery in Series 6.  Also, there are clues in the WatchOS 7 Beta that make it seem all but certain that this is the case. They are all but removing the 3D Touch feature on the watch, which means that Apple now has additional room to place a bigger battery within the watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also likely that Apple is going to have improved the sleep tracking system as well for Series 6.  The improved battery life means that more sensors can run for a longer duration of time, which allows for improved tracking heart rate, oxygen levels, and overall movement. Apple has been making a strong push towards fitness and health with their watches as of late, so this would be a logical next step in that trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building off of that, it is also pretty probable that Apple will be putting a pulse oximeter within the watch to help users determine if their blood oxygen levels are above or below normal. This would be notable because, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, doctors are recommending that people monitor this statistic if they feel like they have symptoms of the virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
