It is important to state upfront that the Rolex 2020 price increase, at this point in time, does not seem to have anything to do with the costs of gold, platinum, or other materials that would be used in the making of their watches. In 2019, the Rolex Daytona ref. 116500LN, which is a fairly new and popular watch, had a retail price of $12,400 \u2013 it will now increase to $13,150 in 2020. By contrast, this watch retails for around $20,000 on the grey market, which is almost double \u2013 almost no other product in the world has this kind of pricing system attached to it, and for good reason. This means that Rolex is losing millions of dollars in revenue when you take a moment to think about how much extra jewelers are making when they resell Rolex\u2019s product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They seem to have increased their retail prices, on average, by 7%, and the prices of sports models seem to be around closer to 10%.
