He was elected to the Senate at the age of 1972 as the Senator from Delaware, where he made history as one of the youngest Senators ever to be elected to that position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there, he began a long and storied career in public service, one which saw many ups and downs, including the untimely and tragic passing of his first wife and daughter in a car accident, and the loss of his son Beau Biden from brain cancer at only 46 years old. Biden would eventually serve as Vice President to Barack Obama from 2008-2016 before deciding to run for President for a third time in 2020, resulting in his election to the highest office in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something that is not often discussed, however, is the fact that Joe Biden is something of a watch connoisseur. An important part of being the President of the United States is having a wardrobe that demonstrates austerity and commands respect, so it is very reasonable that a U.S. President would want to wear a timepiece that reflects the importance of their title. As a result, several U.S. Presidents, including Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson, Ronald Reagan, and Barack Obama have all been photographed wearing Rolex timepieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John F. Kennedy was famously given a Rolex Day-Date as a gift by Marilyn Monroe, which resulted in that watch being given the informal nickname of \u201cThe President\u201d among Rolex collectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like many fitness watches, the Apple Watch is capable of electronically tracking your location in real-time. Because of this, it is a major security issue for the President to be wearing one, especially if he is traveling somewhere that is not supposed to be public knowledge. As a result, the Secret Service will not allow him to wear the watch during his tenure as President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
