Audemars Piguet North America Names New CEO. Audemars Piguet names former L\u2019Or\u00e9al executive, Ginny Wright, the new CEO of North America. She will oversee the business in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former CEO Patrick Ottomani left the position after only a year at the post, last December. Although the pandemic must have hit the company hard, the company was quiet about the reasons for Ottomani’s departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing is imminently clear, Ginny Wright’s focus will be on growth in the Americas. Wright will be the top dog in America, but will report to Yves Meylan, the Chief Commercial Officer, and Global CEO Fran\u00e7ois-Henry Bennahmias. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audemars Piguet is headquartered in Switzerland. However, Wright will be based in New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ginny Wright recently served as the president of Kiehl\u2019s under the L\u2019Or\u00e9al family of products since May 2019. She is a former global deputy general manager of Ralph Lauren Fragrances at L\u2019Or\u00e9al. Although her experience in fine timepieces is limited, her brand building skills is exceptional. For a brand as well known as Audemars Piguet, this will be both a challenge and something that should be well within her wheelhouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wright was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. She graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She went on to get her MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris. It is this background which AP is most enamored with and is betting on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
