Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986, in New York City, New York to Joseph Germanotta, an Internet entrepreneur, and Cynthia, a business executive, and philanthropist. She also has a younger sister named Natali. Gaga has mentioned in several interviews that both of her parents came from lower-class families and worked very hard for everything they acquired later in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaga began playing the piano at the age of four, as her mother insisted that she become, in her words, a \u201ccultured young woman.\u201d She would take piano lessons throughout her childhood, and would progress to the point where she would be able to play the piano by ear. Her parents would encourage her creative endeavors and enroll her in various creative arts camps in her youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
