The Will Smith watch collection must begin with this Men In Black timepiece from Hamilton. This Hamilton Ventura Quartz reference H24411732 was actually launched in 1957 and made watchmaking history as the world’s first electrical battery-powered watch. The watch was worn by Agent J, Agent K and Agent M played by Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Tessa Thompson in 3 of the Men in Black movies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

although this watch is more than 60 years old, it has a very modern shape to it. It is quite small, at only 32mm in width and the lug width is a smallish 17mm. It is powered by a caliber F05.111 movement which is powered by the quartz battery. At only $845, this is probably one of the most affordable timepieces that we will see Will Smith wearing in his collection. However, the black dial and black leather strap are clearly distinctive and maybe “the last watch you will ever wear” once you put it on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith Watch Collection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Tag Heuer Monaco<\/a> is the original model which was revolutionized by “King of Cool” Steve McQueen in the 1970s. This chronograph is the original square timepiece with the winding crown on the left side and pushers on the right. It is powered by a caliber 11 which has the hours, minutes, seconds, and date features along with the stopwatch features. It has a 40-hour power reserve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This model has a blue dial, but Tag offers a black dial option as well. The case is 39mm and it has a black leather band with a steel folding clasp. The lugs are 22mm. Own a piece of moviemaking history with this timepiece for only $6950.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith Watch Collection – Ulysse Nardin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith seems to fancy blue timepieces. This Ulysse Nardin is an exceptional one with easy-to-read numbers around the dial and exquisite white on a dark blue dial. The skeletonized hour minute and seconds hands give it a nice 3-D look while still having a luminescent tip on the end. It has a power indicator at the 12 o’clock position and the date aperture at the 6 o’clock position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case diameter is a nice 43mm. But the blue dial and blue strap give this timepiece the look that Smith is going for. Today you could get this timepiece for about $5,000 in aftermarket sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith is one of the most highly sought actors because of his ability to draw an audience and create profitable pictures. This has made him one of the most highly paid actors in our time. He as put some of these profits into a few higher-priced timepieces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of his best acquisitions is this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak<\/a> with a silver-toned “Grande Tapisserie” dial. It has a 41mm case. It is powered by a caliber 4302 with a 70-hour power reserve. It is simple elegance and has a reserved look. At just over $25,000, this timepiece would not break the bank for Smith, but it definitely is a great addition to his collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith owns an older model of the Rolex Sky-Dweller<\/a> with Rose gold, a chocolate dial, and a black leather band. The one above is featuring the Oysterflex, as Rolex has discontinued the leather band option for the Sky-Dweller. The Sky-Dweller is known for its Ring Command bezel, providing GMT function with style. One of the newer Rolex models to hit the market, this has become a very popular model for celebrities and athletes that want to combine function with exquisite luxury. This timepiece would set you back at least $41,000, but probably more since Rolex timepieces are rarely going for their MSRP price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith Watch Collection – Rolex Submariner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Every serious watch collector should have a Rolex Submariner <\/a>in their collection. This Submariner is a classic. It has a black dial and black bezel and a steel case and band. It would be unlikely that you could pick up this timepiece for the Rolex suggested retail price of only $10,000. However, the Sub has been a good investment for those that we’re able to buy or pick them up for anywhere near the entry price. Demand has driven these timepieces way up even in after-market sales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Smith has a small but impressive collection of timepieces. He has a nice start to a collection. The addition of Monaco and the AP gives him a bit of diversity to offset the standard Rolex timepieces. I give him extra points for creativity by having the Hamilton and the Ulysse Nardin, and extra points for making the Hamilton Ventura one of the most iconic timepieces in history. However, I would say that given his stature as a top-tier actor, I would expect him to have at least one premier piece – perhaps a vintage Rolex Daytona collectible or a high-priced Patek. Smith is still young and has many years left to keep building his collection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
