Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1st<\/sup>,  1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His mother, Coni, is a photographer, and his father, Joseph, is a painter. After he was born, his parents would divorce, and he would move with his mother to Norwalk, Iowa. He would play high school soccer along with another actor, Brandon Routh.
