National Space Day is a yearly event held on the first Friday of May to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of space exploration. This day has been observed with numerous activities, programs, and events that highlight the relevance of space exploration and its impact on our lives since its start in 1997. National Space Day will be celebrated on May 5th, 2023, using Omega Watches’ collection of space-inspired timepieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To commemorate Omega Watches’ relationship with space research, the corporation has released a number of limited-edition watches that pay homage to significant moments in space history. Omega introduced the Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition in 2021 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. This timepiece has a 42mm polished 18k MoonshineTM gold casing and is driven by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
