The Rolex GMT Master Pepsi<\/em>\u00a0is a Rolex GMT Master II with the Red and Blue coloring on the bezel that looks like the 2 famous colors on the “Pepsi” soda can.\u00a0 The GMT was created with the aviator in mind, in collaboration with Pan-Am Airways, making the first watch ever created which showed two time zones at once.\u00a0 This became a huge hit with airline pilots and world travelers alike.<\/p>\n

Because Rolex watches were already known for their reliability and accurate time keeping, the Rolex GMT quickly gained great success and the immaculate reputation of Rolex’s innovation marched on.<\/p>\n

The Rolex GMT Master Pepsi has more features than just the two tone famous Pepsi coloring.\u00a0 The coloring itself is used to distinguish between the day and night time hours.\u00a0 This is a unique feature since it doesn’t require a complication to indicate sun and moon.\u00a0 It is actually more readable than timepieces that do show the sun and moon.<\/p>\n

The 24-hour hand with Red stem works in concert with the dial to show the second time zone.\u00a0 Yet the hour, minute and second hands are perfect specimens of Rolex time-honored elegance with highly visible luminescence for visibility in the day and night time.\u00a0 The 24 hour hand also has lume in its trangular tip.<\/p>\n

The GMT-Master II with the Pepsi coloring is probably one of the most iconic Rolex timepieces found today.\u00a0 However,\u00a0 today you can choose between a Black and Blue<\/a> model, Black and Chocolate<\/a> model which comes in both 2 tone Gold\/Steel or All-Gold options, or the standard Blue and Red<\/a> option.<\/p>\n

The new GMT Master II is powered by the all new caliber 3285.\u00a0 Building on a history of precision, the 3285 now features a power reserve of up to 70 hours.\u00a0 It also features a day of the month window at 3 o’clock with a cyclops lens for easy visibility.<\/p>\n

The caliber 3285 is a certified Swiss chronometer and features a paramagnetic Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers to resist shocks and magnetic variations. It has a rapid-setting of the hour hand, instantaneous date, and a stop-seconds for precise time setting.<\/p>\n

It has a 24-hour rotatable bezel and it has an hour hand that can be adjusted forwards or backwards independently of the minute and seconds hands.\u00a0 This is fantastic for travelers that need to adapt to a new time zone without affecting the precision of their timekeeping.\u00a0 Yet the winding crown also allows the owner to quickly change the hour hand just as quickly.<\/p>\n

The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with cyclops lens over the date and triplock triple waterproof screw down winding crown provide 330 feet of water resistance.\u00a0 The superalloy 904L steel case and oyster bracelet provide strength, resistance to corrosion, a highly polishable surface, and durability to make this Rolex last for many years without fear of leading a sporty lifestyle.<\/p>\n

There are several Rolex GMT Master II models offered today.\u00a0 Although the black dial is the distinctive face type responsible for easy readability and is found on most GMT Master II’s there are a few models like the white gold model which offers both a blue dial and even a silver meteorite dial.<\/p>\n

The 18 ct gold hour markers prevent tarnishing and helps preserve the quality of the timepiece for generations.\u00a0 The luminescent hour markers give the timepiece a highly luminescent watch face to look at both during day and night time activities.\u00a0 This is especially important for on-stage performers like Mayer or airline pilots that may be traveling or performing at night or in darkness.<\/p>\n

Rolex offers two bands offered for the GMT Master II.\u00a0 The Oyster band offers 3 links and has a standard and tool piece look to it.\u00a0 The Jubilee band though is made with 5 links and is quite exciting.\u00a0 It has a beautiful look to it and enhances the look with various reflective surfaces giving it a more luxurious look than the Oyster.\u00a0 However, unlike other Rolex timepieces, Rolex does not offer an Oysterflex for the GMT.\u00a0 Rubber B, however, has you covered.<\/p>\n
