For many people, when they hear the name \u201cAdam Levine,\u201d the first thought that comes to mind is the fact that he is the lead singer of the well-known dance-pop band Maroon 5. He is also well-known for his long tenure as a coach on The Voice, a position that he held for 16 seasons before leaving the show in September of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, many people are unaware of the fact that in addition to being a very talented musician, Adam Levine is also a very serious watch collector, with a particular passion for Rolex timepieces. Who is Adam Levine?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Adam Levine is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and television presenter who is best known as the lead singer and primary songwriter of the band Maroon 5.  He was born on March 18, 1979, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Fredric Levine, was the founder of the retail chain M. Fredric, and his mother, Patsy, was an admissions counselor. Growing up, Levine was a highly energetic child, and he would later be diagnosed with ADHD. He is an active advocate for those suffering from the condition, and for the mental health community at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early 1990\u2019s, Levine and several high school friends would form the band Kara\u2019s Flowers, and they would eventually be signed to Reprise Records. However, despite high expectations, that band\u2019s debut album only sold around 5,000 copies, and they would soon be dropped from their label not long afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2004, the reformed band, now called Maroon 5, would debut their first album, Songs About Jane. It would go on to become the tenth best-selling album of the year, and launch Maroon 5 into the cultural mainstream. Levine has worked steadily since, dividing his time between working with Maroon 5 and being a producer on Songland, a show for NBC that Levine executive produces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Levine\u2019s Early Show Business Career<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In February of 1994, Levine and his high school friends formed their first band, Kara\u2019s Flowers. A year later, they would play their first gig at the Whisky a Go-Go, a noted venue in West Hollywood, California that has proved to be a noted starting point for many important rock bands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band was discovered while performing in Malibu and would eventually record their first album, \u201cThe Fourth World.\u201d However, the album would underperform fiscally, only going on to sell about 5,000 copies. Subsequently, the band was dropped from their label, and they would break up not too long afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maroon 5 and Mainstream Success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For a period of time, the members of the band went their separate ways, with Levine and Carmichael going on to attend college in New York. However, they would soon drop out after a semester and reunite with Madden and Ryan Dusick, thus reforming the original lineup of Kara\u2019s Flowers. However, even though the membership of the band was the same, they had been experimenting with new musical styles, and had decided to not be a strictly rock and roll band any longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After adding James Valentine to the lineup, the band was then redubbed Maroon 5, and they would soon release their first album, \u201cSongs About Jane,\u201d in 2002. The album was comprised of songs that Levine had written about his ex-girlfriend while working as a writer\u2019s assistant on \u201cJudging Amy,\u201d and unlike their previous endeavor, this album would prove to be very, very successful, going on to sell over 10 million copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maroon 5 would go on to record their second album not long after, and in 2007, \u201cIt Won\u2019t Be Soon Before Long\u201d would be released. Three years later would see the release of their third album, \u201cHands All Over,\u201d which was recorded with legendary record producer Mutt Lange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, the band would release \u201cOverexposed,\u201d which would feature one of their most popular singles ever, \u201cMoves Like Jagger.\u201d They would follow that up with \u201cV,\u201d which was released in 2014, and \u201cRed Pill Blues,\u201d which was released in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Voice and Current Projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From 2011 to 2019, Levine served as one of the primary coaches on NBC\u2019s \u201cThe Voice,\u201d winning the series for three of those years (seasons 1, 5, and 9.) The show has, in some corners, been credited with reviving public interest in Levine, as the sales of Hands All Over were considered underwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After leaving the show in 2019 to resume his primary focus on Maroon 5, the band released its most recent album, \u201cJordi,\u201d in 2021. The album was named after Jordan Feldstein, the band\u2019s former manager, who passed away unexpectedly from a blood clot in 2017 at the age of 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levine loves this watch enough to own four separate models of it \u2013 however, he is most commonly photographed wearing the 6263 model, which is made from steel and has a black and white subdial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Levine also seems to be fond of the Rolex President Day-Date timepiece, as he owns three different versions of this timepiece.
