The Officine Panerai Luminor 1950 8 Days GMT – 44 MM begins a new family of products that exclusively uses in-house Officine Panerai movements. Powered by the P.2002 which is named after the year when the caliber was developed, the Reference PAM00233 has a stellar 8-day power reserve. The movement features a KIF Parechoc\u00ae anti-shock device, 21 jewels, a Glucydur\u00ae balance, and it operates at 28,800 alternations per hour.<\/p>\n

The PAM00233 has an hour and minute hand, and a small seconds indicator at the 9 o\u2019clock position which also has a 24 hour hand with AM\/PM indicators. This allows the wearer to keep track of a 2nd time-zone while traveling or doing business in two locales. At the 3 o\u2019clock position it has a small date aperture. Above the 6 o\u2019clock hour it has an 8-day power reserve indicator.<\/p>\n

The Luminor 1950 has sapphire crystal on the front and the back of the timepiece. The case is a 44mm brushed steel case made from AISI 316L polished steel. The trademark Panerai crown lock-down mechanism protects the large winding crown. The reference PAM00233 has a 24\/22mm black Alligator strap to match the black dial. It is waterproof to 300 feet.<\/p>\n
