The Rolex Yacht-Master II is inspired by the Rolex’s rich heritage that has bound the brand to world of sailing since the 1950’s.\u00a0 The Yacht-Master II brings together the\u00a0 the finest in Rolex technology, creating a regatta chronograph built for yachting competition. At Baselworld this year, Rolex launched the newest Yacht-Master II, powered by the new\u00a0calibre 4161, which has an expanded power reserve up to 72 hours.\u00a0 This new movement is the result of over 35,000 hours of development, and includes a patented function and comprises 360 components manufactured entirely in-house by Rolex.<\/p>\n

The new dial and hands have enhanced legibility, yet continue to sport the Red, White and Blue elements that have dazzled Yacht-Master owners for decades.\u00a0 The new dial features a triangular hour marker at 12 o\u2019clock and a rectangular hour marker at 6 o\u2019clock. A luminescent disc on the hour hand clearly distinguishes it from the minute hand. The Yacht-Master II\u2019s countdown can be programmed for a duration of between 1 and 10 minutes. The countdown can be synchronized on the fly to match the official race countdown.<\/p>

The Yacht-Master II is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and is waterproof to 330 feet.\u00a0 It has a screw-down winding crown with Triplock triple waterproofness system.\u00a0 It has a centre hour and minute hands, and a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock.\u00a0 The pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock provide the ability to program a precise countdown with on-the-fly synchronization with the countdown clock.\u00a0 The timepiece also has a stop-seconds for precise time setting.<\/p>\n

The bidirectional rotatable Ring Command Bezel works in conjunction with the internal mechanism and is linked to the movement providing a simple to use setting and synchronization function.\u00a0 The Oyster bracelet is equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp and an Easylink comfort extension link.<\/p>
