Gandy was first discovered after he won a model search competition.\u00a0 As the story goes, his roommate entered him into a modelling competition on ITV’s This Morning hosted by Richard and Judy without his knowledge.\u00a0 Regardless, he won the competition along with a Select Model Management contract in London.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He modeled for several Italian designers including Dolce & Gabbana, which may have fueled his love for Panerai timepieces.\u00a0 Gandy worked early on with big brands such as Zara, Hugo Boss, H&M among many others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gandy has worked along side of female supermodels Gemma Ward, Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and others.<\/p>\n

Gandy is best known as the model for Dolce & Gabbana’s 2007 “Light Blue” fragrance campaign which hit the online media and even a 50 foot billboard in New York Times Square.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gandy expanded his modeling for brands such as Banana Republic, Lucky Brand Jeans and even became the brand ambassador for Johnnie Walker Blue Label.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has appeared in British Vogue and British GQ and has a column in The Daily Telegraph, where he also ranked 17th as the Best Dressed in Britain.\u00a0 Spanish Glamour ranked him the Most Beautiful International Male Face and Forbes ranked him as the world’s 3rd most successful male model.\u00a0 Cosmopolitan magazine named Gandy among The Sexiest Men in 2013.\u00a0 Even Models.com ranks Gandy in the top 3 for most successful male models and Top Icons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

David Gandy Sporting a Panerai<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

David James Gandy is well known for is physical attributes. His chiseled body and rugged good looks are keys to his fame. He is comfortable modeling suits – both the business attire and suim suits. He even has done a fair share of underwear modeling leaving little to the imagination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Gandy is not just another beautiful face. He has multiple passions. Besides modeling, he does quite a few industry interviews, exercise videos and even developed his own fitness app which was released in December 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gandy was invited to race the Mille Miglia (1,000 Mile Race) in Italy. This 3 day event takes drivers from Brescia to Rome and back. He joined team Jaguar driving a 1950 XK120. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gandy also has a daughter with partner barrister Stephanie Mendoros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He can be seen wearing a steel Panerai Luminor above. Having extensively traveled through Italy for both work and through his racing hobby, it is likely that the supermodel fell in love with the Italian super watch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Panerai Luminor<\/a> is a very masculine timepiece. He appears to be wearing a timepiece not unlike the PAM01312 which has a large 44mm steel case. It is not uncommon for male superstars known for bulking up themselves to wear Panerai because of its large case and military history. The Panerai Luminor has a date window at 3 o’clock and a small seconds window at 9 o’clock. The watch comes with a leather band – black Alligator. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is powered by an in house movement, the caliber P.9010 which features 31 jewels, a Glucydur\u00ae balance, and an Incabloc\u00ae anti-shock device. For an athletic and energetic gym rat, this means that the Panerai can accompany Gandy throughout his workouts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rubber B makes an extensive array of custom designed vulcanized rubber bands for the Panerai Luminor<\/a> timepiece. These bands come in multiple colors and styles. There are 14 different style and color combinations to choose from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of these bands are made in Switzerland and are designed to perfectly fit the original Panerai case. Although the original Steel Tang Buckle from Panerai is supported, a 316L Tang buckle is provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
