The Luminor Submersible Acciaio (Reference number PAM01024) is a distinctive model created with a sporty look and feel. The Reference PAM00731 is a rarer version of the Luminor Submersible with a blue dial. Only 100 watches of the PAM00731 were ever created, making it an exclusive and rare find.
Panerai Luminor Submersible
Panerai’s distinctive Luminor Submersible watches are manufactured in Neuchâtel, Switzerland with a long history of rich technical and innovative designs. The Luminor Submersible 44mm is a professional diver’s watch that can withstand pressure up to 300 meters. Besides hours, minutes, seconds, and dates, you can calculate immersion time.
The Panerai Luminor Submersible has small seconds at the 9 o’clock position and the date window aperture at the 3 o’clock position. The luminescence on this timepiece is incredible both day and nighttime.
The Panerai Luminor Submersible Acciaio 44mm is made with AISI 316L stainless steel and has a unidirectional rotating bezel for calculating the time of immersion. The winding crown is protected by Panerai’s trademark and distinctive protection brushed steel bar. It has a power reserve of 50 hours. It is built to withstand a temperature range from 14 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees.
Most of the newer Panerai Submersible timepieces come with a larger 47 mm case, although there are some with 42 and 44mm case sizes available. The 47 mm case is significantly larger than most timepieces on the market. For example, Rolex generally will hover around the 40-44 mm case size, and tends to reside closer to 40 or 41mm.
Specifically, the new Rolex Submariner has a 41mm case which is nearly 13% smaller than the Panerai Sub. Add to the fact that the Panerai has the locking device around the screw-down crown, and you have a timepiece that feels even larger as if it were over 50 mm. Although the Panerai Submersible was made for the Italian military and for larger men’s wrists in mind, many women find the larger timepiece to be ideal fashion accessories. Not only are they extremely durable for everyday wear, but they are also customizable with color band choices from Rubber B that can match the style or mood of that day.
When maintaining the Panerai, it is recommended to replace the water-resistant seals whenever servicing or opening the unit. After swimming in the sea or pool, you can easily clean the Panerai Submersible with soap, warm water, and a soft brush. However, it is not recommended to dry the Panerai in the direct sunlight or on a hot surface, to prevent warping.

All bands come with a 316L Stainless Steel Tang Buckle included. These rubber wristbands are designed specifically for the Panerai Luminor Submersible and can fit perfectly with the original Panerai buckle.

This new “Alligator” band is part of the Swimskin lineup which is designed to look entirely like Alligator leather but is actually 100% rubber. It is vegan-friendly and is ideal for diving, swimming and other aquatic activities. It currently comes in 2 distinct colors – jet black and expresso.
Rubber B also released the Swimskin Ballistic series of bands. The Ballistic is engineered rubber to look like real Kevlar fabric, but is 100% rubber and has greater durability and far greater resistance to water and salt than fabric. It fits with the original Panerai tang buckle, or a tang buckle can be purchased with the band. The Ballistic band comes in two colors – Jet Black and Military Green.
