The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980R-001 is a stunning timepiece with exceptional luxury. Nautilus has epitomized elegant sports timepieces since 1976. The 40mm case is made from 18k Rose Gold and originally it came with a brown alligator strap.
The 5980R is powered by the automatic calibre CH 28-520 C which contains 35 jewels, 308 parts, and has a 55 hour power reserve. The central rotor is made from 21k gold. It utilizes a Spromax balance spring and a Gyromax balance. The timepiece has a sapphire crystal and it supports a water resistant depth of 330 feet.
The chronograph features of this timepiece are employed using the beautifully stylish pushers above and below the screw down winding crown – between the 1 and 2 o’clock position and the 4 and 5 o’clock position. These pushers are curved and artistically blend in with the rose gold case. The chronograph dial appears on the dial at the 6 o’clock position. with two dial hands (red and white) and an inner and outer dial. The outer dial provides both a 60 minute counter and the inner dial provides a 12 hour monocounter.
Most notable about the Nautilus 5980 is the octagonal shape of the bezel and the beautiful dial which is embossed horizontally.
