One of the most celebrated combinations is a dark brown alligator watchband with a luxury timepiece. The distressed look of brown alligator leather is timeless and has been attached to timepieces for decades. However, there has always been an issue with people that opt for such luxurious looking bands. They don’t last.
Although leather products have a distinctive look and might be able to repel water on the surface, most bands have fillers which warp and render the watchband useless after actually submersing the timepiece into water. Even a good game of basketball or some other athletic sport, typical leather bands will start to lose shape. The alligator skin products are porous and the filler material soaks up the liquid and expands and becomes heavy.
Most watch owners would be forced to remove their timepiece before any athletic activity or swimming in order to preserve the leather. Or, they would be forced to replace the leather band almost immediately after any contact with water.
Dark Brown Alligator Watchband for Luxury Timepieces
Rubber B has always been a company that wanted to get the most out of their timepieces. They knew that sports watch owners should be able to have the dark brown alligator watchband without worrying about destroying the look and feel after one active session.
Initially Rubber B combined actual Alligator and Calf Leather with the strength of vulcanized rubber. The rubber under layer didn’t have the typical fillers found in traditional leather bands, and because it held its shape it helped to give alligator and calf leather a more resilience. Rubber products naturally repel water, sweat, and salt water, making them perfect watch band compliments which are closer to the resilience of pure metal watchbands. This was a big improvement in the history of watchbands because the Black, Brown and Red Leather bands from Rubber B beautiful, but they were practical and could last much longer than a traditional leather watchband.
As you can see with the picture above, Rubber B had created two dark brown leather watchbands – the dark brown alligator watchband and the dark brown calfskin watchband. They also had a black watchband similarly made from both calfskin and alligator hide. They combined these fine leather products with black vulcanized rubber and also with red rubber. Introduction of Swimskin
Rubber B has been pushing the limits of what is possible in the watchband world and they knew there had to be something better. Since Rubber B is located in the heart of Switzerland, where the finest watchmakers have been making the finest timepieces in the world for 200 years, Rubber B was inspired to set the bar higher. They worked for years to develop a new machine process to create a rubber product that looked and felt like real leather.
With years of development, Rubber B set the standard for the new leather band made from pure vulcanized rubber. The manufacturing process was able to produce an exact replica of a distressed alligator skin with its unique and patternless creases which are not uniform or looks “manufactured.” In fact, it is so natural that many people would easily mistake a Rubber B rubberized leather band from a real leather band at first glance.
Rubber B includes the stitching on many of its Swimskin bands so it appears like a real leather stitching. However, Rubber B does this for visual effect since most of its 2-tone products are actually fused together in the vulcanization process creating a perfect seal and bond between the two colors.
Rubber B has developed the “Perfect Leather” which is actually 100% vegan friendly and is superior to real alligator or calf leather products in every way. Not only are they perfect to be used in athletics, they also can be used for swiming, diving and in the shower. It will go wherever your timepiece will go, and is finally an equally durable leather alternative to the metal watchband. Rubber B has created many other designs other than just the “leather” look.
