Patek Philippe 5712G Nautilus

The Patek Philippe 5712G Nautilus in White Gold is a gorgeous 40 mm timepiece which combines the trademark porthole construction and a horizontally embossed dial, creating both a sporty and elegant look. The rounded octagonal shape of its bezel has epitomized the elegant sports watch since 1976.

The timepiece looks like a stainless steel timepiece, but is actually more valuable white gold.  The dial has a grey-black embossed pattern giving it a stunning look at any angle.  The 40mm case is large enough to provide a substantial feel, but a good size for both men and women.

The Patek Philippe 5712G is powered by the caliber 240 PS IRM C LU with 29 jewels.  This timepiece has a complex set of movements.  It has a 48 hour power reserve indicator between the 10 and 11 o’clock markers.  Between 6 and 8 o’clock there is a circular date wheel and a moon phases indicator.  Between 4 and 5 o’clock there is a small seconds subdial.

Made with 265 parts, the caliber 240 is art in motion.  The 22k gold mini-rotor provides the centerpiece for the action.  However, the Spiromax balance spring and Gyromax balance give the timepiece tremendous reliability even when the owner is most active.

The hour and minute hands and hour markers have luminescent coating to provide visibility at night or when diving.  Each hour marker is surrounded by white gold – preserving the beauty of the timepiece for generations.

The screw down crown and sapphire crystal front and back provide waterproofness support for a depth up to 150 feet.

The Patek Philippe 5712G is enhanced with a matte black alligator leather band.  It has a fold-over clasp for additional security.

It is a beautiful timepiece from every angle.  On either side of the winding crown is a crown guard.  However, to retain the symmetry, the same guard is added to the opposite side of the watch.  From the side view, the Patek Philippe 5712G appears to be slender.  From the back you can see the exceptional beauty of the movement through the see-through sapphire crystal.
