Located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, the Officine Panerai manufacture opened its doors in 2002. This move coincided with the development of their first in-house movement, the P.2002. This movement was a tribute to the 8-day power reserve the Florentine brand innovated in the 1940s.
Since opening its doors, Officine Panerai has manufactured several manual and self-winding movements in-house, including the P.9000 automatic caliber and P.9100/R with a regatta timer complication. They also conduct research and development in this facility in addition to manufacturing their movements. This helps them find new materials and designs that will aid in future innovations for the watchmaker.
As a Richemont company, Panerai is committed to acting as a responsible corporate citizen with high standards of conduct and integrity. Their code of ethics extends not only to employees and suppliers, but to the environment and community as a whole.
