In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Aquanaut collection, Patek Philippe introduced the Aquanaut 5168G shown above at Baselworld 2017. Its white gold case measures 42.2mm in diameter from 10 to 4 o’clock. The blue dial is embossed with a black gradient and gold applied numerals with luminescent coating.
This diver’s watch is waterproof to a depth of 120 meters. Its date function is visible through an aperture at 3 o’clock. One of many 2017 wristwatch models featuring a rubber strap, its “Tropical” composite strap is colored midnight blue and features an Aquanaut fold-over clasp.
The Caliber 324 S C self-winding mechanical movement is visible through a sapphire-crystal case back. With 213 parts and 29 jewels, the movement offers a maximum power reserve of 45 hours. It measures 27mm in diameter with a height of 3.3mm. Its parts include a Spiromax balance spring and and Gyromax balance.
