Current watchmaking trends favor case sizes upwards of 40mm, but larger watches aren’t suited for every wrist. Tudor introduced the Heritage Black Bay 36 at Baselworld 2016 to offer the sporty style of their popular Heritage line in a more universal size. This model combines historical and contemporary elements in its design and execution.
The 36mm stainless steel case features a satin finish with a polished bezel. It is equipped with a calibre 2824 self-winding mechanical movement manufactured in-house by Tudor. The power reserve is approximately 38 hours. A screw-down steel winding crown engraved with the Tudor rose seals the case to offer a depth rating of 150 meters.
The black dial is offset by luminescent hour markers and Tudor’s classic snowflake hour hand, introduced in 1969. This model comes on either a steel bracelet or an aged leather strap, shown above. It has a folding clasp with a safety catch as well. An additional camouflage fabric strap with buckle is also included with purchase.
The suggested retail price for the Heritage Black Bay 36 is 2,400 Swiss francs. For more information on this wristwatch model, visit Tudor’s official website at tudorwatch.com.
