The Rolex Oyster Perpetual is a direct descendant of the original Oyster launched in 1926 – the first waterproof wristwatch in the world. This pioneering spirit and the drive to build timepieces dedicated to sporting activities for men and women became the foundation upon which Rolex has built its stellar reputation.
The Oyster Perpetual retains the classic Oyster case and the simplicity and world renowned and easily recognized style. The Oyster Perpetual may seem simplistic, but Rolex has given owners an extensive array of choices – from eye-catching dials of a variety of colours and five sizes – 26 mm, 31 mm, 34 mm, 36 mm and the 39 mm. There are too many colors to list out here – but the palette ranges from a simple white or black dial to an dazzling grape or aqua marine – and just about everything else in between.
The waterproof case is guaranteed to a depth of 330 feet. The case is crafted from a solid block of corrosion-resistant Oystersteel. Oystersteel is made from the 904L superalloy used in high-technology and in aerospace designs. Oystersteel provides an exceptional finish even in the harshest environments. The Twinlock double waterproofness system keeps the high precision Rolex movement safe from water, dust, pressure and shocks.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual featured an invention as early as 1931 which Rolex patented – a self-winding Perpetual rotor which transmits natural energy to the watch with normal wrist movements of the watch owner. The most recent movement is a calibre 3130, featuring a Parachrom hairspring for resistance to shocks and temperature variations. It is highly reliable and certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. The Oyster perpetual comes with an Oyster bracelet with three-piece links, made from Oystersteel and an Oysterclasp. All Oyster Perpetual watches are fitted with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Rubber B has designed 4 exquisite vulcanized rubber straps which is precisely calibrated to fit the case and Oyster clasp of Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34mm (19mm lug Space) and Date 34mm (19mm lug space). This strap utilizes “Blocked Integration” engineering, incorporating solid inserts for a flawless, motionless flush mount to the Oyster Perpetual 34mm case.
This strap is only compatible with the Oyster clasp and is not compatible with Jubilee or President clasps. All Rubber B products are made in Switzerland and are non toxic and allergen free. No coating, blends or bonding are used in the creation of these vulcanized rubber bands.
Rubber B has developed three solid color bands – Jet Black, Arctic White, and Navy Blue. They have also developed a Tuxedo Velour® band which, like a tuxedo, is perfect for the finest occasions.
