Tudor Black Bay 58 Dive Watch
The Tudor Black Bay 58 is inspired by the Tudor 7924 Big Crown Diver which was released in 1958. It pays homage to the ’58 but is quite different in less-than-subtle ways. The Black Bay 58 is much slimmer than the 41mm Black Bay. It is nearly 3 mm slimmer. It also has a smaller diameter. At 39 mm in diameter, it is 2 mm smaller than the standard 41 mm.
The smaller features of the Black Bay 58 make it more widely acceptable. It becomes a universal size that both men and women can enjoy equally. It strikes a balance between substance and substantial. This dive watch has weight but is lighter than most diver timepieces on the market. This makes it both appealing and more comfortable for the avid diver. Features of the Tudor Black Bay 58
One of the key features of the 58 is its vintage appeal. Most collectors clamor for the off-white patina coloring of vintage watches – typically found on Rolex timepieces from the 1950s and 60s. This antique coloring is not only found on the hour markers. It is extended to the hour and minute hand. And it is also in the diamond at the tip of the second hand. The golden patina closely matches the coloring of the numbers and dive markings on the rotatable bezel. Similarly, these “pink gilded” markings are also found on the outer part of the dial for the 60 – minute graduations.

New Caliber for the Tudor Black Bay 58
The new Black Bay 58 Diving Watch is released with a new manufacture calibre MT5402. This is a 2nd family of movements, developed 100% in-house. These in-house movements were first released only 3 years ago. The superior feature of this new caliber is the fact that it features a 70-hour power reserve. Like its predecessor, it is a fully certified chronometer by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
This caliber is designed to fit the new slender case and is only 26 mm in diameter. The satin-brushed rotor and bridges are decorated by sand-blasted surfaces and laser decorations. This caliber is built for longevity and reliability. Its inertia balance is built with a sturdy bridge utilizing a 2-point fixation. This new caliber is an immense achievement over the original caliber 7922 which was released with the Tudor Diver in 1954.
Tudor Black Bay 58 Diving Watch Straps
The Tudor Black Bay 58 comes with 3 bracelets from the manufacturer. It has a steel bracelet, a brown leather strap, or a fabric strap. The riveted steel bracelet is polished with a satin finish and a folding clasp. The black fabric strap has a gold-colored band is made with the Jacquard technique. This technique was developed over a hundred years ago and comes from the St-Etienne region of France.

This is the newest lineup of custom-designed luxury bands by Rubber B. Its blocked integration and signature “T” design was pioneered by Rubber B. It creates solid inserts for a flawless, motionless flush mount to the Tudor Fifty-Eight case.
