At 41 mm, this watch is slightly bigger than its Rolex compatriot, but where it really outperforms its “big brother” is in the area of water resistance. By being water-resistant for up to 200 meters, this timepiece truly positions itself as a leader of the pack when it comes to diving watches.
It should also be noted that this watch is easier to come by than the Rolex GMT-Master II for two primary reasons – the first being that it is simply cheaper, and the other is that Rolex produces timepieces in smaller quantities than Tudor does.
So Which Watch is the Superior Timepiece?
Stylistically and mechanically, these two watches are similar in almost every way, with the exception of the water-resistance rates. Ultimately, it all depends on what your budget for a timepiece is, and how important name brand recognition is to you. If the name brand is what you’re truly looking for, then Rolex is probably the better option for you, but if that is not your primary concern, you are probably better off with a Tudor (or two) in the long run.
