With only 100 models in production, Panerai’s Luminor 1950 Equation of Time 8 Days Acciaio Special Edition brown leather watch strap is quite special indeed.
With only four days of the year containing a full 24 hours, the Equation of Time 8 Days Acciaio brown leather watch strap provides an accurate time function by calculating the difference between the mean time indicated by the watch, and the true-time shown by the solar meridian. Give or take a 15-minute difference depending on the time of the year, this special feature doesn’t require a rocket scientist to set as the equation of time indicator sets automatically when the date and month are set.
Largely measuring out to a 47mm diameter case, the Luminor 1950 features a generous in-house P.2002/E caliber, hand-wound mechanical movement, equation of time indicator, built-in anti-shock device, seconds reset, 8-day power reserve functions thanks to the 3 spring barrels, Alligator watch band, and finally a power reserve indicator on the back seen through transparent sapphire crystal.
Available in AISI 361L Stainless Steel on an Alligator watch band, the Luminor 1950 Equation of Time 8 Days Acciaio is made with a special polished stainless steel bezel that is extremely resistant to corrosion and is water-resistant up to 10 bar, or 330 ft.
