Nelly Korda – Rolex Submariner

This entry is an interesting one, because it wasn’t actually Nelly Korda who was wearing the Rolex Submariner – instead, it was her caddy, Jason McDede. It’s not often you see a caddy wearing a Rolex, so this was a welcome change of pace at the Tokyo Olympics.

Lydia Ko – Rolex Yacht-Master Ref. 126655

Lydia Ko, a golfer from New Zealand who took home a bronze medal this year for her efforts, was spotted wearing a Rolex Yacht-Master, ref. 126655 while accepting her medal at the awards ceremony. This is not only one of Rolex’s largest and most-polished timepieces, but it also happens to have some gold on there as well.

Devin Booker – Rolex GMT-Master II “Pepsi”

Devin Booker has had a summer for the record books this year, one that was capped off during his time at the Tokyo Olympics. After helping to lead the Phoenix Suns all the way to the NBA finals this year, he followed up that impressive achievement by heading over to Tokyo and winning a gold medal with the U.S. Men’s Basketball team.

He was spotted wearing a Rolex GMT-Master II in the “Pepsi” style, which as we’ve mentioned previously in other blog posts, is one of the most coveted Rolexes on the market among collectors today.

Brian Warwick Goorjian – Rolex Datejust

Unless you follow basketball at the international level, Brian Warwick Goorjian is a name that you’re unlikely to be familiar with. However, a cursory glance of the man’s resume speaks for itself – the coach led the Australian Men’s Basketball team to medal for the first time ever at the Tokyo Olympics. Throughout the games, he was often seen sporting a Rolex Datejust with a blue dial.

Annika Sorenstam – Rolex Yacht-Master Ref. 168622

Annika Sorenstam has been a prominent presence in the world of golf for quite some time, having recently risen to the post of president of the International Golf Federation. During several of the women’s matches, she could clearly be seen wearing a Rolex Yacht-Master. Eagle-eyed viewers also were able to spot that the watch looked a bit worn down, implying that it is likely one of her personal favorites.

Belinda Bencic – Rolex Daytona In Two-Tone

Belinda Bencic and her tennis partner, Viktorija Golubic, both won silver medals for their impressive tennis play for their native Switzerland. However, only one of them – the one who also happens to be a Rolex ambassador – was wearing a two-tone Rolex Daytona when she received her medal.

Kayle Browning – Rolex Datejust

Though she didn’t receive any medals this year, Kayle Browning certainly put on a show at the Tokyo Olympics. She immediately stood out due to her wearing her diamond-set Rolex Datejust while competing in the Trap Women’s Finals for the United States – an impressive pairing, indeed.

Alexander Zverev – Rolex Sky-Dweller

Alexander Zverev, who previously was a Richard Mille ambassador, won Gold this year for his native Germany in Men’s Tennis Singles. However, as of June 2021, he also has another notable accomplishment – becoming a Rolex Ambassador, which they were likely pretty happy about after seeing how well he played. As he flew home to Germany, he was seen wearing a Rolex Sky-Dweller with a blue dial.
