The Offshore features a 42mm case and a case that is 3 mm thicker than the original Royal Oak at 14.90mm vs 10.88mm. The larger size of the Offshore is a trend towards building the larger watches as we have seen with Panerai and others.

The Offshore has also increased the size of the embossed pattern on the dial, creating a Mega Tapisserie pattern. The Offshore clasp on the bracelet is a pin buckle which provides more security over the original Royal Oak.

The Offshore has also provided some subtle changes to its chronograph series, by moving the dials to the 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions. This moves the dial from the 3 o’clock position to the 12 o’clock position from the original Royal Oak. It includes a pushpiece guards over the pushers, and an inner tachymeter scale on the dial itself. It also includes a transparent sapphire caseback so you can view the luxury of the timepiece’s inner workings.
