Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022

Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022

Our Rolex Predictions for 2022 include some interesting areas we feel that Rolex could make changes in their lineup. It is hard to determine the new paths that Rolex takes. It seemed obvious in years past when Rolex was falling behind other brands in power reserve that they would eventually come out with a new caliber that had better power reserve in it. Sure enough that is exactly what happened.

However Rolex doesn’t make dramatic changes to its highly sought after timepieces. Rolex is the number 1 brand in the world for a reason. Why should they change with what is clearly tremendously successful? In fact, collectors often criticize Rolex when it tries to make changes such as adding a date window to all Submariners, or discontinuing a popular color combination on one of its timepieces. Rolex timepieces are in such short supply that a change in supply can leave collectors wanting, or wishing they had jumped in and bought that timepiece before the demand hit a fevered pitch.

Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022 – Titanium

Rolex has developed their own Oystersteel metal. Although it is a spectacular metal, it isn’t exactly titanium. We are making the bold prediction that titanium will eventually find its way into Rolex designs more prominently than it is today. It is more lightweight, more scratch resistant and is easier to polish. We see that the Tudor Pelagos has a titanium offering in the Rolex family. Why not make it through to Rolex? Of course, Rolex may decide to mix something in the titanium and call it Rolanium.

Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022 – Coke Bezel on the GMT II

The GMT Master II discontinued “Coke” bezel combining the Black and Red features found on a typical coke bottle is

one of the favorites of collectors around the world. It stunned the Rolex community when they decided to drop the favorite colors of the #1 soft drink in the world. Obviously this is maybe the 2nd most popular color scheme for a GMT since the #1 is clearly the Pepsi color scheme combining the Red and Blue for day and night on the bezel.

However, we feel that Rolex has something special in store for “Coke” fans. Rolex loves to tease us by taking something away, recognizing the impact on the market and then reintroducing it with great fanfare as if it were something new that they came up with. We are easy fans of Rolex, so we can put up with this and give them their just rewards for giving us back the features and colors we are so eager to have back on the market.

Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022 – More Oysterflex Bracelets

Ever since Rubber B helped reinvent the Rubber bracelet market we have seen the adoption of Rubberized material by some of the top watch manufacturers in the world. We saw that Panerai, Audemars Piguet and even Rolex add rubber watch bands to their collections as if it was somehow something new that they invented. Yet, we know better.

The above Daytona was an extreme hit. We have always known the color combination of yellow gold and black rubber bands look spectacular and also feel wonderful against the skin. Rolex rolled this out only a few years ago and yet, they haven’t added Rubber band options to all of their timepieces yet. They are still clinging to steel and other precious metal bands.

However, we think that this is the year we will expect some new bands to enter the marketplace straight from Rolex. And even if they don’t, we will be here to provide the best made Swiss rubber bracelets for Rolex anywhere.

Rubber B Rolex Predictions 2022 – Sprite Color Scheme for GMT

This is an interesting one because although we have seen the “Batman,” the “Coke” and the “Pepsi” and even the “Root Beer” color scheme on the bezel of the GMT Master II, we haven’t seen the “Sprite.” Just to be clear these nicknames are given for the 2 color scheme used on the bezel of the GMT Master II timepiece by Rolex. The most popular has been the Pepsi with its Blue and Red color scheme.

Why could we see it? Yes, the citrus combination of the Green and Yellow are a fresh take of the GMT. This has been in the rumor mill for quite some time. Green itself has been a fairly popular color and growing in popularity. Alternatives to the above representation could be Green and Black. Maybe not a pure “Sprite,” but probably close enough to satisfy most “Sprite” fans.
