As its name implies, a ghost bezel is a watch whose bezel has aluminum inserts that have faded in color over time. While Rolex does not officially make watches with any kind of pumpkin patina, these watches do exist, again due to a manufacturing defect that unintentionally resulted in a unique and visually interesting product.

After discovering that radium lume posed health risks to people in the 1960s, Rolex switched to Tritium in order to make certain watches more luminescent. This was especially true with their diving watches, which needed to be well-lit in conditions with less-than-ideal visibility.

However, Tritium loses its color over time, and it gently begins to fade into a different hue of whatever the original color was. As a result, some watches end up developing a pumpkin-colored dial to them, giving them a special look that makes them ideal for Halloween.

Spider Dial Watches

The last item on our list is likely the rarest among Rolex watches for Halloween that one would be able to purchase. Spider dial watches are when the lacquer on a dial begins to crack, giving it a “fractured” appearance that bears a strong resemblance to a spider web.
