The Omega Constellation Globemaster was launched in April 2015. This watch comes in 18k Sedna Gold which is a pink style gold gold case combined with a brown leather strap.
The Sedna Gold is a rose gold alloy developed by Omega in 2012, and named after Sedna, a small planet considered the reddest in the solar system. It retains the color and lustre over time due to its combination of copper and palladium.

The new Globemaster has been upgraded to become the world’s first Master Chronometer establishing a new standard of quality in the watchmaking industry.
This new certification is guaranteed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) which tests the highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance.
The case is 39mm and has a “Pie Pan” dial which is a feature inspired by the first 1952 Constellation model. The bezel is fluted in pink gold, giving it a very luxurious look.
The watch band is affixed between 20mm lugs. It has a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position.
The silver dial has hour markers which are made from 18K Sedna gold and filled with Super-LumiNova luminescence. The hour and minute hands have similar luminescent treatment.

The caliber 8901 is a self-winding automatic movement with co-axial escapement. It has a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring. It has two barrels mounted in a series allowing it to wind in both directions.
When visible, the back side of the timepiece has an 18k Sedna gold rotor and balance bridge with a luxury finish with Geneva waves in arabesque.
It has a medallion at the center with Omega’s Constellation emblem, an image of an observatory surrounded by a polished sky marked with eight symbolic stars.
The dial has 2 inner circles – one that encompasses the hour markers and the other that covers the inner circle. This gives the timepiece a 3 dimensional look.
The simplicity of the case harkens back to the original pocketwatch design found on the early Rolex timepieces. The screw-down crown is alone with no crown guards on either side.
