Tom Brady’s seven Super Bowl championships established his place in American football history, but his interest in watches tells another story. The Tom Brady watch collection has evolved from early milestone purchases and formal brand partnerships into an increasingly sophisticated selection of vintage Rolex Daytonas, complicated Patek Philippe watches, personalized Audemars Piguet creations and high-jewelry statement pieces.
That evolution became public in December 2024, when Brady placed part of his collection into a dedicated Sotheby’s sale. The 41-lot auction, which combined watches with important pieces of football memorabilia, achieved approximately $9 million. The 21 watches alone generated approximately $4.6 million. Every lot found a buyer.
The auction did not mark the end of Brady’s collecting. In the seasons that followed, he appeared with a Tiffany-signed Patek Philippe Aquanaut, a yellow-sapphire Jacob & Co. tourbillon, new-generation Audemars Piguet models and a gem-set Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce.
Taken brand by brand, the collection reveals a progression from commercial partnerships to historically significant complications, sports-watch icons and some of the most extravagant modern watches in production.
What Watches Are in Tom Brady’s Collection?
Tom Brady has owned or publicly worn watches from Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, IWC Schaffhausen, Richard Mille, Tudor, TAG Heuer, Jacob & Co., Panerai and Omega.
Some of the watches most closely associated with him were sold at Sotheby’s in December 2024. Others have appeared on his wrist more recently and may remain part of his active collection.

From an Omega Graduation Gift to Serious Collecting
Brady’s interest in watches began before the brand partnerships and major auction results.
In an interview published by Sotheby’s, Brady said his parents gave him an Omega when he graduated from high school. During college, he reportedly used an image of an IWC GST Automatic Alarm as his computer screensaver. After winning his first Super Bowl, he purchased that IWC alongside a Panerai Luminor Marina and an IWC Rattrapante.
Brady said that he still owned those early watches at the time of the 2024 interview. Their importance was not necessarily determined by rarity or market value. They represented the beginning of his professional career and the milestones that made later collecting possible.
This foundation helps distinguish the collection from a selection assembled only for public appearances. Watches were connected to Brady’s career long before he became one of the most visible collectors in professional sports.
TAG Heuer: The First Major Watch Partnership
Tom Brady joined TAG Heuer as an international brand ambassador in 2015. The partnership placed him within the brand’s “Don’t Crack Under Pressure” campaign and introduced him alongside the Carrera Heuer 01 chronograph.
The relationship later produced a Tom Brady limited-edition Carrera Heuer 01. The watch incorporated red, blue and silver tones associated with the New England Patriots, while Brady’s jersey number appeared prominently at 12 o’clock. His signature was also incorporated into the design.
The 43mm automatic chronograph was powered by the Heuer 01 movement and featured the openworked architecture that defined this generation of the Carrera. It represented an accessible, sports-led phase of Brady’s public watch profile before his collection became closely associated with rare vintage references and independent high horology.
TAG Heuer established the commercial foundation. IWC Schaffhausen would take that relationship considerably further.
IWC Schaffhausen: The Ambassador Years
IWC officially announced Brady as a global brand ambassador in June 2019. At the time, the manufacturer identified the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Miramar and the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar among the watches already represented in his personal collection.
The partnership appeared especially natural because IWC had been part of Brady’s collecting history since the beginning of his NFL career. During the relationship, he participated in major campaigns, including the brand’s “Born of a Dream” film project, and wore watches across the Pilot, Portugieser and Big Pilot families.

IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN “SFTI”
The IW3891-04 combined a ceramic case with Ceratanium components and a military-inspired chronograph display. Sotheby’s documented it as owned and worn by Brady.
IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Edition “Le Petit Prince”
This stainless steel Big Pilot featured the model’s familiar oversized crown, power-reserve display and blue dial. It provided a more traditional aviation-watch counterpoint to Brady’s ceramic TOP GUN models.
IWC Portugieser Automatic
The auction included a pink-gold Portugieser IW5007-01 with a date display and power-reserve indicator.
IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar
The IW5036-05 united the commanding Big Pilot case with a perpetual calendar, moon-phase display and seven-day power reserve.
IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph
A stainless steel IW3881-02 from approximately 2023 represented one of the newest IWC watches in the sale.
IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar
The white-gold IW5022-18 dated to approximately 2007, making it an important link between Brady’s early interest in IWC and his later ambassador role.
Together, these watches show that the relationship was more substantial than a standard celebrity endorsement. IWC was one of the original pillars of the Tom Brady watch collection.
Rolex: Vintage Daytonas and Modern Professional Watches
Rolex represents one of the broadest sections of Brady’s documented collection. His choices range from a stainless steel GMT-Master II to a diamond-set platinum Day-Date and two significant vintage Daytona references.
Five Rolex watches were included in the Sotheby’s sale.
Rolex Daytona Ref. 6241 “John Player Special”

The centerpiece of the auction was a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6241 with a black-and-gold “Paul Newman” dial. Collectors commonly refer to this configuration as the “John Player Special” because its color combination recalls the black-and-gold livery used by the Lotus Formula One team during its sponsorship by John Player & Sons.
Brady’s example was produced around 1969 and featured a 14k yellow-gold case with a matching Jubilee bracelet. Sotheby’s described the reference as one of the rarest early Daytona configurations.
Brady wore the watch during a 2023 ceremony at Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots honored his career. It subsequently sold for $1.14 million, becoming the most valuable watch in the GOAT Collection auction.
Rolex Daytona Ref. 6265
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
A second vintage Daytona demonstrated that Brady’s interest in the model extended beyond one trophy reference.
The yellow-gold Ref. 6265 dated to approximately 1979. Unlike the exotic-dial Ref. 6241, the 6265 represented the later screw-down-pusher generation of the manually wound Daytona.
Placed beside the John Player Special, it showed an appreciation for the evolution of Rolex’s most famous chronograph rather than an interest in a single fashionable reference.
Rolex GMT-Master II “Batman”
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
Brady also owned a stainless steel Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126710BLNR. Its black-and-blue ceramic bezel led collectors to nickname the configuration the “Batman.”
The GMT-Master II provided a more practical expression of Rolex ownership. Its additional hour hand and rotating 24-hour bezel allow a second time zone to be monitored, making the model closely associated with travel.

Rolex Day-Date Ref. 228396TBR

One of the most extravagant Rolex watches in the auction was a platinum Day-Date with a meteorite dial, diamond hour markers and a diamond-set bezel.
The reference combined several of the manufacturer’s most prestigious materials. Platinum gave the watch substantial weight, while the meteorite dial created a naturally occurring pattern unique to each example.
The Day-Date’s formal President bracelet and gem-set configuration stood at the opposite end of the collection from the stainless steel GMT-Master II, demonstrating the breadth of Brady’s Rolex preferences.
Rolex Yacht-Master II Ref. 116681
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The two-tone Yacht-Master II combined stainless steel with Everose gold and included Rolex’s programmable regatta countdown complication.
Its large case, blue ceramic bezel and nautical function made it one of the collection’s most overt sports watches. Sotheby’s dated the example to approximately 2018.
Patek Philippe: From Historic Complications to the Aquanaut
Patek Philippe reveals the most traditional side of Brady’s collecting. The watches associated with him include early 20th-century grand complications, historically important perpetual-calendar chronographs, a vintage Nautilus and contemporary Aquanaut references.
Patek Philippe TBXII Grand Complication
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The oldest watch in the Sotheby’s selection was a yellow-gold, open-faced Patek Philippe pocket watch made in 1917 and retailed by Tiffany & Co.
Describing it only as a minute repeater understates its significance. The watch combined a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, split-seconds chronograph and moon-phase display. Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co. signatures appeared across the watch, and the movement was marked as having been made for the American jeweler.
The piece was presented in a later custom box marked “TBXII,” connecting an early grand complication to Brady’s jersey number and personal collecting identity.
Patek Philippe Ref. 3970 First Series
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The Ref. 3970 is one of Patek Philippe’s defining perpetual-calendar chronographs. Brady’s First Series example was especially notable because Sotheby’s identified it as the second example produced, carrying movement number 875’001.
Made in 1986, the yellow-gold watch combined a perpetual calendar, chronograph and moon-phase display within a traditional round case. It represented the type of historically important reference generally associated with experienced collectors rather than celebrity-driven demand.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3700/11
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
Brady’s vintage Nautilus was a two-tone Ref. 3700/11 manufactured in 1982. The watch combined stainless steel and yellow gold with a black dial and the slim proportions of the original “Jumbo” Nautilus design.
Its presence alongside the Ref. 3970 and the 1917 grand complication demonstrated the different forms Patek Philippe took within the collection: formal complication, historic pocket watch and integrated-bracelet sports watch.
Tiffany-Signed Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167A
Status: Publicly worn in 2025
Only weeks after the Sotheby’s sale, Brady appeared at an NFL playoff game wearing a stainless steel Aquanaut Ref. 5167A with a Tiffany & Co. signature on the dial.
The standard Aquanaut is already one of Patek Philippe’s most sought-after modern sports watches. The additional Tiffany stamp links the watch to the longstanding retail relationship between Patek Philippe and the American jeweler, creating a considerably rarer configuration.
The appearance provided immediate evidence that Brady had not withdrawn from collecting after the auction. His focus had simply shifted toward a new group of watches.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce Haute Joaillerie
Status: Publicly worn in 2026
During the 2026 NFC Championship period, Brady appeared with a white-gold Aquanaut Luce Haute Joaillerie Ref. 5268/461G-001.
The model is set with blue sapphires and diamonds across the dial, bezel and case. A dark blue composite strap retains the Aquanaut’s sports-watch identity despite the extensive gem setting.
The watch illustrates how Brady’s recent collecting direction has become more visually expressive. The understated steel Aquanaut seen in 2025 was followed by a high-jewelry interpretation of the same family one year later.
Audemars Piguet: Personalization and Technical Innovation
Audemars Piguet occupies an important position in the Tom Brady watch collection. The brand connects his earlier preference for large precious-metal sports watches with his recent interest in technically advanced Royal Oak references.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “The Roast”

The most personal watch associated with Brady was a unique Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon created for his 2024 Netflix roast.
The white-gold watch featured a diamond-set bezel and a salmon-colored dial. Instead of conventional hour markers, Brady’s name was represented in diamonds. A Roman numeral VII marked his seven Super Bowl victories, while his signature appeared on the custom rotor visible through the case back.
Brady wore the watch during the television special before consigning it directly to Sotheby’s. It sold for $720,000 in December 2024.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph 50th Anniversary

The auction also included a stainless steel Royal Oak Chronograph Ref. 26240ST produced for the collection’s 50th anniversary.
This reference paired a flyback chronograph movement with the integrated case and bracelet architecture that has defined the Royal Oak since 1972.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
A pink-gold Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph dated to approximately 2012 represented an earlier era of Brady’s collecting. The Offshore’s large proportions and muscular case suited the oversized sports-watch preferences of the period.
The New Generation of Royal Oak Watches
Brady’s association with Audemars Piguet continued after the Sotheby’s sale.
In 2025, he was among the first prominent collectors photographed wearing a newly introduced Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar powered by Audemars Piguet’s revised calendar system. In 2026, he was also seen with newer Royal Oak creations, including the technically ambitious RD#5.
These appearances suggest that Audemars Piguet remains one of the central brands in his active collection, even after the sale of “The Roast” and other earlier references.
Richard Mille: The Sports-Technology Connection
Richard Mille watches are frequently associated with professional athletes because of their lightweight construction, resistance to movement and technically experimental mechanisms.
Three Richard Mille watches from Brady’s collection appeared at Sotheby’s.
Richard Mille RM 35-03 “Baby Nadal”
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The RM 35-03 used a blue-and-white Quartz TPT case and incorporated the brand’s butterfly rotor.
The rotor can change configuration through a case-mounted pusher. In one position, it winds the movement conventionally. In the second, its weighted sections move opposite each other, reducing winding during intense physical activity.
The system was developed in connection with Rafael Nadal, but its sports-oriented engineering also made the model a logical choice for Brady.
Richard Mille RM 11-03
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The RM 11-03 combined Carbon TPT and titanium with a skeletonized flyback chronograph movement, date display and month indicator.
Its layered construction and prominent pushers gave it the aggressive mechanical appearance closely associated with Richard Mille.
Richard Mille RM 65-01
Status: Formerly owned — sold at Sotheby’s in 2024
The titanium RM 65-01 incorporated a split-seconds chronograph and rapid-winding mechanism.
Together, the three Richard Mille watches represented the performance-driven side of Brady’s collection: lightweight materials, complex chronographs and mechanisms designed around movement and athletic use.
Tudor: The Understated Collector’s Choice

Among the complicated Patek Philippe watches, diamond-set Rolex models and Richard Mille chronographs, Brady’s Tudor Black Bay 58 “Friends of Hodinkee” offered a notable contrast.
The limited-edition stainless steel watch was created for members of the Friends of Hodinkee community. It retained the vintage-inspired dimensions and diving-watch character of the Black Bay 58 while adding the exclusivity of a restricted release.
Sotheby’s documented Brady’s example as owned and worn by him. Its inclusion demonstrated that his collecting was not determined exclusively by price. Community editions, limited availability and personal interest could carry equal importance.
Jacob & Co.: The High-Jewelry Era
Brady’s most theatrical recent watches have come from Jacob & Co.
The relationship attracted particular attention during Super Bowl LIX in February 2025, only two months after the Sotheby’s auction.
Jacob & Co. Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon
Status: Worn during Super Bowl LIX
For his first Super Bowl appearance as a Fox broadcaster, Brady wore a Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon covered in yellow sapphires.
The 47mm watch combined an 18k yellow-gold case with hundreds of baguette-cut stones and a flying tourbillon visible through the gem-set dial. It was widely reported at approximately $740,000.
The watch was impossible to overlook during the broadcast. After selling several historically important watches, Brady had entered a new phase defined by modern high jewelry, intense color and highly visible complications.
Jacob & Co. Billionaire Mini Ashoka
During the same Super Bowl weekend, Brady was also seen with a Jacob & Co. Billionaire Mini Ashoka, a diamond-set watch reported at approximately $3 million.
The watch was shown on his wrist before the game, and his son Benjamin was filmed trying it on. Some reports described the moment as a gift, but the publicly available footage more clearly establishes that Brady placed the watch on his son’s wrist. It should therefore not be definitively described as Benjamin’s watch without further confirmation.
For the actual broadcast, Brady changed from the Billionaire Mini Ashoka to the yellow-sapphire Caviar Tourbillon.
The $9 Million Sotheby’s Auction
The December 2024 Sotheby’s auction is the central event in the history of the Tom Brady watch collection.
The GOAT Collection consisted of 41 lots spanning watches, jerseys, helmets, footballs and other memorabilia from Brady’s college and professional career. All 41 lots sold, generating approximately $9 million. The 21 watch lots achieved approximately $4.6 million.

The sale should not be interpreted as Brady disposing of his entire collection. Sotheby’s described the watches as a selected portion of a broader group, and Brady publicly discussed early Omega, Panerai and IWC pieces that he intended to retain.
His appearances after the auction further confirm that the sale represented a transition rather than an exit.

There is no single watch that Brady wears exclusively. His recent public appearances indicate an active rotation across several major manufacturers.

Tom Brady’s watches mirror the chapters of his career.
TAG Heuer introduced the ambassador era. IWC reflected his long-term interest in pilot’s watches and traditional complications. Rolex brought together milestones, professional models and historically important Daytonas. Patek Philippe demonstrated a serious appreciation for vintage watchmaking. Audemars Piguet introduced personalization and technical innovation. Richard Mille connected modern horology with athletic performance. Tudor showed a quieter interest in limited, enthusiast-led releases. Jacob & Co. opened the collection’s most extravagant chapter.
The result is not a static inventory. Several defining pieces were sold in 2024, while new watches quickly appeared in their place.
Taken together, the Tom Brady watch collection reads less like a celebrity’s watch box and more like the résumé of a collector in constant transition—from early career milestones and formal partnerships to vintage complications, bespoke creations and some of the most technically and visually ambitious watches of the modern era.
