The Heritage line combines characteristics of Tudor’s historic models with modern watchmaking innovations. These elements come together to create modern tool watches with classic aesthetics. At Baselworld 2017, the watchmaker introduced a new Black Bay model, Reference 79730, with an all-new brushed steel bezel. This new configuration also introduces a date feature to the dive watch.
Inspired by the bracelets from dive watches made by Tudor in the 1950s, the Black Bay Steel features a folding riveted bracelet. It has rivet heads visible on the side of the solid links of the bracelet, shown in the photo above. This model is also available with an aged black leather strap. Both come with a khaki green Jacquard fabric strap in the box as well.
This wristwatch model is equipped with a Calibre MT5612 self-winding mechanical movement. It has a power reserve of 70 hours that allows the wearer to take off the watch on a Friday and put it back on Monday morning without the need to set the time again. This movement is a variation of the movement originally introduced by Tudor in 2015. Learn more about the Heritage Black Bay Steel at tudorwatch.com.
