Robert Downey Jr.
Because his first outing as Tony Stark, 2007’s “Iron Man,” eventually lead to us having a Marvel Cinematic Universe in the first place, it seems only right to start with the noted actor, producer, philanthropist, and watch collector. Downey Jr. is notable for being one of the only high-profile Hollywood celebrities who hasn’t been a watch ambassador for at least one of the major watchmakers as of this point in time.
This makes particular sense when you realize that he owns a variety of watches from several different brands, indicating that he seems to simply appreciate a well-made timepiece over any one brand in particular, though we do know he has a special fondness for his Rolex Milgauss. Ironically enough, he also owns a Rolex Hulk Submariner, which is particularly interesting, given his relationship with Dr. Banner in the films.
Chris Evans
There are few people in Hollywood who are as beloved both on, and off-screen, as Chris Evans, and that has no small part to do with the fact that the man who plays Captain America seems to be as kind and thoughtful as the character he spent the better part of a decade playing in real life.
Not much is known about his private life, including his watch collection, but he has been photographed wearing a Montblanc Automatic on more than one occasion.
Chris Hemsworth
Chris Hemsworth was a relatively unknown actor outside of his native Australia when he appeared as the God of Thunder in 2011’s “Thor,” which seemingly catapulted him to overnight stardom and a level of success that he continues to enjoy today, as he continues to oscillate between larger action vehicles and smaller comedic parts.
He is also a watch connoisseur and currently enjoys a relationship with TAG Heuer as a brand ambassador. He has been most frequently spotted wearing their “Connected” watch as of late, which is TAG’s version of a smartwatch.
Scarlett Johansson
One of the most essential parts of the Avengers team, Natasha Romanov, aka the Black Widow, is a character who continues to be a fan favorite within the series. Johannsen herself has been in the news as of late, due in no small part to her recent marriage to SNL head writer Colin Jost and the birth of their son, Cosmo.
Johannsen has been known to be fond of her Rolex Datejust 278273, which stands to reason, as the timepiece is classy, elegant, and highly durable, much like the character she has become so well-known for playing in recent years.
Mark Ruffalo
Mark Ruffalo occupies a unique place in this list, as he’s the only actor whose character, the Incredible Hulk, was played by not one, but two, different actors before he stepped in to take over the part. Eric Bana originated the role in 2003’s “Hulk,” and then in 2008, Edward Norton would take over the part in 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk.” Ruffalo would finally take over the part in 2012’s “The Avenger” and has happily occupied it since.
Not much seems to be known about Mark Ruffalo’s watch collection, but he has been seen sporting a Harry Winston timepiece on multiple occasions, so it stands to reason that he has a fondness for that particular brand of watches.
Tom Holland
It’s hard to state how much excitement there was when it was announced that newcomer Tom Holland was finally bringing one of Marvel’s most beloved superheroes into the MCU – everyone’s favorite neighborhood web-slinger, Spider-Man.
While Holland was not well-known before taking on the role, he certainly is now, and he seems to have picked up a penchant for luxury watches along with his newfound success. He has been known to wear both a Cartier Santos and a white ceramic Rolex Daytona, no doubt having been influenced by his co-stars during the making of his last few films.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Another late addition to the team as Sorcerer Supreme Steven Strange, Cumberbatch was already beloved by audiences for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes by the time he joined the MCU. As far as his watch collection goes, he seems particularly fond of his Jaeger Lecoutre Memovox Polaris timepiece.
