Introduced in 2012, the Sky-Dweller is Rolex’s latest wristwatch model designed to help world travelers keep track of time as they fly across the globe. Protected by 14 patents and fitted with a 9001 self-winding mechanical movement manufactured in-house by the watchmaker, this superlative chronometer has a power reserve of 72 hours, a Saros annual calendar and a dual time zone 24-hour display. Its 42mm Oyster case features a fluted Ring Command bezel that allows the wearer to switch to the different functions of the watch.
Available only in precious metal configurations, the Sky-Dweller has a distinctive rotating off-center disc with a 24-hour display. The month is indicated by a red marker visible through apertures just above the roman numerals marking each hour. The day aperture is located at 3 o’clock with Rolex’s signature Cyclops magnifying lens over it. Local time is indicated by the tradition hour and minute hands, with a mechanism that allows the wearer to jump from hour to hour without affecting the minute and seconds hands.
In the e-Boutique at rubberb.com, we offer several VulChromatic rubber strap options for the Sky-Dweller model that comes on an alligator leather strap (not compatible with models on metal bracelets). The photo above shows a rose gold Sky-Dweller on a Chocolate Brown/Red Devil strap. We chose color combinations that accentuate the aesthetic of the timepiece, with straps in combinations of Jet Black, Red Devil and Chocolate Brown.
Made in Switzerland using the finest materials and manufacturing practices of the luxury watch market, our straps are micro-callibrated to create a flush mount onto the Oyster case with no gaps or movement. They incorporate the deployant buckle that comes on the original leather strap, offering the wear the comfort and security of the ultimate rubber strap.
