Another Panerai Novelty presented in conjunction with SIHH 2017, the first wristwatch trade event of the calendar year, the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo benefits from the watchmaker’s tradition of making spectacular timepieces for divers. The use of a bronze alloy made from copper and pure tin is an example of how Panerai takes classical materials and brings them into this century with their modern take on the oversized dive watch.

The 47 mm case is large by any standard and stands out even more with the addition of their patented crown guard. The uni-directional rotating bezel has a graduated scale for timing dives. The dial is colored navy blue, the perfect accent color for the bronze of the case and dark brown leather of the calf ponte vecchio strap. In addition to hour and minute hands, the dial features a date aperture at 3 o’clock and a seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock.

The PAM 671 is powered by a P. 9010 automatic mechanical movement manufactured in-house by Panerai in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Made up of 200 components, including 31 jewels, the movement is 6.0 mm thick. It has a power reserve of 3 days and features a Incabloc anti-shock device and Glucydur balance. This timepiece also features a depth rating of 30 bars and a titanium case back.
