Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback

The Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Acciaio – 44mm reference PAM00524 is a new chronograph with flyback function.  It is the first Officine Panerai timepiece to use the new caliber P.9100 manufactured in Neuchâtel.  The P.9100 has an impressive 3-day power reserve (72 hours) and is supported by a single bridge with a KIF Parechoc® anti-shock device, the Glucydur® balance. The flyback function is controlled by a push-button at eight o’clock which instantly returns the chronograph hands to zero and simultaneously restarts without it being necessary first to stop the hands and return them to zero by pressing the stop and reset buttons. The chronograph minutes and seconds hands are on the main dial.  The seconds hand is blue and the minutes hand is steel.

The main timepiece functions with a luminescent hour and minute hand and a small seconds window at 9 o’clock.  There is a date aperture at 3 o’clock.  Luminescent hour markers and Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock appear on the jet black dial.  Panerai added additional luminescent markings on the small seconds dial at the 15, 30, 45 and 60/0 seconds positions.

The Luminor 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback is 44mm in diameter and water-resistant to 300 feet.  The bezel is polished steel and the case is AISI 316L brushed steel.  The large winding crown is protected by the Panerai trademark device protection system.  Because of the size of the locking mechanism, Panerai put the chrono pushers on the left side of the device at 8 and 10 o’clock. The strap is a Calf Ruby black leather with beige stitching on the 24/22 mm lugs.

Rubber B has developed 8 bands for the Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Acciaio Reference PAM00524.  It has 6 solid colors and two VulChromatic (dual-color) bracelets made of pure vulcanized rubber.  All Rubber B bands are manufactured in Switzerland.  These rubber straps are calibrated precisely for the PAM00524 with “Blocked Integration” engineering for a flawless, motionless flush mount to the Panerai case.

The Rubber B vulcanized rubber straps are fitted with a 316L Stainless Steel Tang Buckle, but also perfectly fits the original Panerai buckle.  The PAM00524 looks outstanding with Red Devil, Jet Black, Arctic White and Canary Yellow solid color bands and the VulChromatic Black/Sahara Tan band which matches the Tan luminescence on the timepiece.  However, the Military Green adds a military look to the timepiece and nods to the long history of Panerai use in the Italian armed forces.  The Rubber B bands extend the ability for the PAM00524 to be used in active sporting activities including diving without the fear of bleeding since no coating, blends or bonding were used in the manufacturing process.  For more information on the Rubber B bracelets for the Panerai PAM00524 visit our page here.
