Watches & Wonders is still happening. On April 25th of 2020, fans in the world of luxury time pieces will get a chance to participate in one of the industry’s most prestigious events. As per the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) Watches & Wonders will take place online, as the world continues to take precautions against the spread of COVID-19.
Starting at noon CET on the 25th, 30 of the most well-known watch brands will have pages dedicated to their respective brands. Companies will stream their content on these pages for all to see, which will include new releases. Once completed, the videos will go up on the Watches & Wonders website.
Although not ideal, fans will surely be thankful of the effort put in by the FHH to make this possible. Brands like Cartier, Roger Dubuis, Panerai, Piaget, and more will all be providing premium content for watch-heads to enjoy.

Will Baselworld 2020 Be Taking Place?
Baselworld 2020 has been cancelled due to the continued struggle against the spread of COVID-19. While Baselworld is considered by many to be the most prestigious watch exhibition in the world, this cancellation casts the future of the event into doubt.
Several big-name brands have expressed their disapproval with how Baselworld has conducted business in the wake of this cancellation, including Rolex and Patek Philippe. The companies have had issues with Baselworld’s shoddy refund policies, as well as the new dates they have chosen in 2021.
As of now, Baselworld 2021 will take place from 1/28-2/2. The aforementioned brands feel that these dates conflict far too much with other significant events, namely the LVMH summit. Apparently, there was a lack of communication during this process, leaving many luxury watch companies in the dark as major decisions were made. Only time will tell how the actions surrounding Baselworld 2020 will affect the future of all parties involved.
