The only real criticism we have of this watch from an aesthetic stance is the way the numerals were placed on the watch. Rather, the numerals have been replaced with a series of dots and hash marks, and while we understand that a dive watch is technically a “tool watch,” it does make the watch look a lot less appealing in terms of its sheen, especially when everything else about it seems to be so polished.

For the most part, the hype around the new QuarantaQuattro series from Panerai seems to be fairly justified. These watches are durable and have the heft to them without being bulky, and their movements are taking full advantage of Panerai’s ability to build in-house complications and push their power reserves into the upper limits.
