Dutch model and TV personality, Sylvie Meis, was spotted at LAX airport in Los Angeles, California this past February wearing a stainless steel Rolex on Rolex Oyster Bracelet. Although it is a bit hard to determine exactly which Rolex model she is wearing, we do know that Sylvie Meis is a consummate Rolex fan. She has several Rolex timepieces in her collection. We will take a look at a few of them here.
Sylvie Meis was born in Breda, Netherlands. She is part Dutch-Indonesian and the other part Belgian. She became a supermodel and television celebrity with the European equivalent of Simon Cowell’s Got Talent Series. In 2003 Meis was named Netherlands’ Sexiest Female. She would be seen doing interviews of other artists for European audiences for MTV Netherlands and TMF Nederland. She even launched her own jewelry line Pure by Sylvie in the Netherlands.
Her early marriage to footballer Rafael van der Vaart, led her to change her name for a time to Sylvie van der Vaart. She even hosted the 2008 FIFA World Player of the Year award ceremony. However, she changed her name back after her 2013 divorce. More recently she was seen with her stunning bikini body in the French Riviera with her new husband Niclas Castello, whom she wed in September 2020.

Sylvie Meis Spotted Wearing Rolex
Meis has become one of the most recognized celebrities in all of the Netherlands as a judge on Just Dance and Got Talent. She has become accustomed to wearing the finest clothes, and working towards excellence both in her role as judge and also in her own businesses. Rolex epitomizes the success that she strives for in every area of her life.
We can see that not only does she appear to have a stainless steel Rolex, but also a 2-tone (Rolesor style) Rolex that she wears to the beach. In both cases they are man’s watches. Yet the size of the timepiece doesn’t seem to overwhelm her wrist. In fact, she combines the timepiece with a multitude of bracelets on the same wrist, almost begging for a larger size Rolex timepiece.
The first timepiece above has a black dial and it looks fantastic with her black boots, leather jeans, black hat and sweater. However with her pink bikini, she prefers to wear a sunnier timepiece with a white dial.
In the photo above we see that Sylvie Meis is wearing a Yellow Gold Rolex Day-Date. Again it is a white dial with yellow gold hands and hour markers. It is considered a man’s watch, but yet she wears the timepiece well and it doesn’t seem to be oversized on her wrist. She also combines the timepiece with a couple colorful and quirky bracelets. This seems to be a trend with her, as she seems to love to pair her Rolex with more than one bracelet no matter where she goes.
The Yellow Gold Rolex Day-Date is probably the most prestigious timepiece on the planet. It is easy to see why Meis would love to wear this timepiece, pairing it with her upscale outfits. She prefers the 2-tone and all stainless steel Rolexes when at the beach or in jeans. However, there is nothing classier than a beautiful woman wearing a man’s Rolex. She is ready for anything.
Although Meis is wearing an earlier version of the Day Date, this same model is still available. It is listed at $37,450 MSRP, but would likely go for much more at today’s prices. The newer Day Date is made from a pure block of yellow gold. The one pictured here is a President’s bracelet. Meis chose to go with an Oyster bracelet instead. Both models have a 40 mm case. However, the new Day Date is powered by the all new Caliber 3255 which has a 70 hour power reserve.
