In 2014, Jokic was selected by the Denver Nuggets as the 41^st overall pick. He immediately established himself as a player who was worth paying attention to. At the conclusion of the season, he would go on to finish third in Rookie of the Year Award voting. He would also earn NBA All-Rookie First Team honors as well.

In the latter half of his sophomore season, Jokić would go on to score his first triple-double. He would finish second in the 2017 NBA’s Most Improved Player Award voting, as well as the 2017 voting for Assist of the Year.
