Early Life

Edward Christopher Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991, in West Yorkshire, England. Ed Sheeran’s parents, John and Imogen Sheeran, are from London and Ed Sheeran’s grandparents are of Irish descent. Ed Sheeran’s father was a curator and his mother worked at Manchester City Art Gallery, his older brother is a composer, which explains a lot considering Ed Sheeran’s musical and artistic talents.

Career

English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran began writing his own songs at the early age of only eleven years old. Ed Sheeran’s first hit single, “A-Team” was released in 2011 for his debut album “Plus” and topped the UK albums charts.

In 2015, Ed Sheeran topped charts around the globe for his second studio album “Multiply”, it was named the second-best-selling album in the world that year. Ed Sheeran’s hit single “Thinking Out Loud” earned two Grammy Awards in 2016 for Song of the Year and best pop solo performance. After selling more than 150 million records worldwide, Ed Sheeran gained the title of one of the world’s best-selling music artists. In fact, in the UK, two of Ed Sheeran’s albums made the list of the best-selling albums in UK chart history.

During Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” Tour, Ed Sheeran gifted his staff and crew members eighty Tudor Black Bay timepieces with the word “Divide” inscribed onto their caseback.
