Mark McGrath can afford any Rolex he wants, even the most expensive timepiece in general. However, he chose the classic Rolex Submariner that is a cross between the original Bond Style Steel Sub, and a Hulk Green Sub. The

Reference 126610LV uses Oystersteel for its steel watch case and the Oystersteel band. Oystersteel is extremely resistant to corrosion. It belongs to the 904L steel family, and can be polished and maintains its beauty even in the
harshest environments. We know that hard rocker McGrath can give anything a beating, and yet this tool watch is going to be able to take what he dishes out and keep on ticking.

The luminescent hour markers are perfect for when he is singing in a dark concert hall or stadium. The Submariner’s rotatable dark green bezel has 60-minute graduations allow a diver to accurately and safely monitor diving time and
decompression stops.

This Submariner Date remain faithful to the original model launched in 1953. However, many enhancements have been made over the years including the Sapphire crystal that provides superior visibility, waterproofness and scratch resistance to the timepiece. It is also equipped with an Oysterlock clasp, which prevents accidental opening, and an
Glidelock device which helps divers make precise adjustments of the bracelet without using any tools no matter whether it is worn under a business suit or on top of a diving suit.

The Cyclops lens is one of the most distinctive Rolex timepiece features which appears over the date aperture at 3 o’clock. It is named after the Greek mythological creature with one oversized eye, providing two and a half times visibility of the date aperture.

The new reference 126610LV is powered by the all new caliber 3235. This is the new-generation movement entirely
developed and manufactured by Rolex. This self-winding automatic movement contains 14 patents, with tremendous improvements in precision, power reserve, resistance to shocks and magnetic fields, and reliability. Most notably it has a 70 hour power reserve. It has a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers and is made from nickel-phosphorous which allows it to be insensitive to magnetic interference.

Most importantly, the Submariner date supports a dive depth of an incredible 1000 feet. This is a depth that will support 95% of all divers in the world. Only the most elite divers would ever need to move to Rolex’s DeepSea models. The 41 mm case is larger than older Submariners and provides even more visibility in both day and night time work or play. Listed at $9550, this timepiece would be the envy of any fan or foe.

Rubber B has developed a multitude of bands for the Rolex Submariner dive watch. All these bands are made with 100% vulcanized rubber and are made in Switzerland of the highest standards. This band above would look perfect with the green dial of Mark McGrath’s Submariner.

The new SwimSkin models feature a machine created Faux look that allows the band to look like real Alligator skin or Kevlar fabric, but are made from pure Rubber. So, these bands are perfect for diving and other activities since it repels water, sweat and other substances that would destroy true leather or fabric products. These bands are custom fit for the Submariner timepiece and are vegan friendly since they do not impact the lives of any living creatures. For more information visit our Submariner page here.
