The Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Acciaio – Reference PAM01312 is powered by the automatic calibre P.9010 –designed and created by Officine Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel with 31 jewels and 200 components. It utilizes a Glucydur® balance, an Incabloc® anti-shock device and has a 3-day power reserve powered by a double barrel system. The seconds is in a small seconds on the dial at the 9 o’clock position. A date aperture makes its elegant appearance at the 3 o’clock position. The black dial makes an impressive statement and is similarly matched by the black small seconds dial and black background on the date aperture.
The reference PAM01312 has beige hour markers and luminescent markings on the hands which turns a blue-green in darkness. The small seconds and Arabic numerals at 12, 9 and 6 o’clock also have luminescent coloring for legible night-time view. The small seconds illuminates the 4 corners indicating 15, 30, 45 and 60 seconds and the second hand.
The PAM01312 has a 44 mm case with a polished steel bezel which is layered on top of a brushed steel case. The large winding crown is protected by a brushed steel crown protecting lock-down mechanism which is a trademark of Panerai. The locking system not only protects the crown but also serves as a reminder to protect the crown before doing activities such as swimming or other water-based activities.
