Features of the Aquanaut 5167A

The dial of the 5167A uses a curved globe shape which looks more like latitude and longitude lines on the earth. Of course it has the embossed tasteful design of Patek to turn this globe into a globetrotting statement for the modern traveler.

The dial is highly legible, with luminescence built throughout the hour markers, the hour, minute and second hands, and on the easy to read numerals that accompany the hour markers.

The dial is a rich black. Patek has added an easy fitting, and infinitely wearable matching black composite strap, reminiscent of rubber straps that have become so popular due to its resistance to wear, salt water and UV radiation. The strap has a fold over clasp and it matches the coloring of the dial. It also has embossed squares through out the strap to tie in the look of the dial throughout the whole timepiece.

The caliber is a 324 S C. It is an automatic self-winding mechanical movement which has a sweep seconds hand and a tastefully legible date aperture at the 3 o’clock position. It was built with 217 parts and 29 jewels. It has a 45 hour power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It has a 21K gold central rotor and it winds in both directions. In order to preserve its exceptional timekeeping, the balance spring is provided by Spiromax and the balance is from Gyromax.

This timepiece has a highly coveted 40″ stainless steel case and matching stainless steel surrounded hour numerals on the dial. The beauty of this design is visible through the sapphire glass on both the front and on the back side of the timepiece.
