There is much to be admired when it comes to the new collection that Vacheron Constantin has unveiled in this years SIHH convention. Celebrating their 260th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin introduces to us their new Harmony compilation that is a sophisticated balance of both tradition in design and advancement in power.
Honoring their anniversary, Vacheron released eight new watches as part of their Harmony collection, debuting a variety of models that compile a new cushion-shaped case, mono-pusher chronograph movements, and dual time movements. Stunning in it’s vintage-inspired design is the mighty mono-pusher chronograph, the Harmony Chronograph.
The Harmony Chronograph leather watch strap is the modern adaptation of the original 1928 doctor’s chronograph and has a pulsometer scale mono-pusher chronograph that runs on the newly developed calibre 3300. Spending nearly seven years in development, the caliber 3300 features a 65-hour power reserve, a dragging 45-minute counter, and gears that don’t move without severe pressure application, a feature that adds extra protection to the pusher. Moreover, the newly introduced cushion shape is more than just a design as it’s curvaceous architecture serves to accentuate the many aspects of the design on the dial. Additionally, the Harmony Chronograph watch strap comes in a luxurious leather watch band.
This exquisite piece measures out to a 42mm diameter case and is available in rose gold on a brown alligator watch strap.
Bearing the Geneva Hallmark, a seal representing the best in quality and standards, the freshly introduced cushion shape will be known as the trademark of the collection. With only 260 individually numbered watches manufactured, a special anniversary inscription reads on the case back. Although the Harmony Chronograph is a limited quantity special edition watch with a brown alligator watch strap, the featured caliber will be used as a powerful mechanism to power future models in the years to come. There is much to anticipate in the forthcoming advancement and expansion of this new collection.
