Vulcanized Rubber Used in Rubber B Watch Straps

Vulcanized rubber is an elevated density composite that provides superior resistance to damage when exposed to UV rays, ozone and aquatic environments. In the vulcanization process, natural rubber is enhanced by creating sulfide bridges between molecular adjacent chains resulting in a material with long lasting durability and protection against damage after extended wear. Over time, it develops a natural patina that actually enhances the aesthetic appearance of the rubber, as opposed to other materials that may tear, fade or deteriorate over time.

Rubber B vulcanized rubber watch straps are fitted with permanent solid inserts that ensure a dependable mount on the wristwatches they are designed for. The pin shaft is micro-calibrated to the perfect diameter, allowing one to insert and remove the straps onto the spring bar with ease.

Our patented rubber straps are manufactured in Switzerland. The FDA monitors and approves the use of vulcanized rubber as non-toxic, non-allergenic and non-marking, assuring consumers that product safety is guaranteed. As shown in the graph below, the use of vulcanized rubber creates a rubber strap of superior quality as compared to alternatives made of silicon rubber, standard rubber or thermoplastic elastomer.
